Legion of Mary Junior Praesidium, Saint Mary School, with Father Will Ganci, Spiritual Director, December 8, 2015.
Legion of Mary ACIES, Sunday, May 7, 2023, Saint Mary Church, Fort Walton Beach, FL.
Good Morning, Everyone! On behalf of Our Lady Queen of Peace Curia of our Diocese and our Curia President, Sister Elaine Goolsby, I would like to welcome you to our 2023 Legion of Mary ACIES, which is our yearly Consecration to our Blessed Virgin Mother Mary. This is our most important event of the year as we renew our dedication to her, the Mother of God. ACIES is Latin which means battle array and with Jesus Christ, through Mother Mary, we triumph in battle array against the forces of evil. For those of you who are joining us for the first time, I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to Our Lady of Fatima Praesidium right here at our parish of Saint Mary. In his homily, Father Halsema encourages us to increase our faith in Jesus Christ and become His followers. We can join any of the small groups in the parish and practice discipleship in Jesus Christ. Our Legion of Mary is the fastest growing and largest lay apostolate in the world. Currently, we are 14 active disciples and 50 auxiliary disciples in our parish Praesidium. Please go to our office website for more information. Before we begin, I would like to give special appreciation to Brother Joe Kaperak and his comrades from Our Lady of Grace Praesidium, all the way from Tallahassee. (Applause). Does everyone have a Tessera and a rosary? We will start praying shortly. After our prayers, we will line up on the side aisle and singly walk up to the vexillum and make our Consecration, “I AM ALL YOURS, MY QUEEN, MY MOTHER, AND ALL THAT I HAVE IS YOURS.” When you’re done, please proceed to our reception in the PLC Cafe. Thank you all for being here. Now, without further ado, let us begin in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, Amen. (Followed by the Tessera and the rosary.)
